Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a therapy that is helpful in treating mood disorders, non-suicidal self-injury, suicidal thoughts, and in creating behavioral change. DBT was developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan and utilizes Mindfulness skills, Distress Tolerance skills, Emotional Regulation skills, and Interpersonal Effectiveness skills to help individuals cope with stress and improve relationships with others.
